- Bachelors in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Expert in PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redshift DB technologies and tools, DB development
- Handling DB Maintenance(Upgrades etc.), Replication, Backup and recovery, performance issues
- 5+ years of industry experience, including at least four years of hands-on DB administration, three or more years hands-on DB development projects
- Knowledge of in one or more programming languages such as Python
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of working effectively with Development Engineering and other functions
- Converting logical to physical design
- On-call support
- Experience in Linux
Amazon Fulfillment Technology - Platform Engineering And Services (PEAS) Database Team is currently looking for a Database Administrator for it’s Bellevue, WA office. As a database administrator, you will work directly with software engineers to implement solutions to accommodate our growth through lean and efficient approaches to data storage. You will have the opportunity to provide direction to our businesses and guide the design of our systems based on realistic time lines and resource constraints.
We have an immediate need for a creative and driven database administrator who has a passion for building systems that have a measurable impact. The right candidate will be innovative and technically versatile. Design and development experience with several enterprise class applications that have successfully launched is preferred.

The base pay for this position ranges from $88,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market.
