Job Summary:
Buckingham Browne & Nichols School seeks a part-time Database Administrator, who directly reports to the Technology Officer and works closely with the school's Registrar. This pivotal role assists in the oversight and maintenance of our school database system (Veracross) to ensure efficient, secure, and reliable operations. As a member of our dedicated team, you will contribute directly to streamlining administrative processes and safeguarding sensitive data.

Skills and Competencies:
The ideal candidate should demonstrate:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Database Administrator in a K-12 educational or enterprise environment.
  • Knowledge of data security best practices and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency and experience with databases and data management systems.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to be sensitive to and respond to the needs/concerns of faculty, staff, and families.
  • Experience with Veracross preferred. Experience with a similar student information database is critical.

Compensation:
$30.00 - $33.00 per hour
