Cold-Link Logistics LLC is a rapidly growing Warehousing and Logistics Company built on Family Values. Based out of Miami, FL, we are committed to building a great team to serve our customers’ needs with innovative cold storage warehousing and distribution solutions.

Cold-Link’s warehousing network has recently expanded and is under construction with a new 200,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility in Ellisville, Mississippi and we are actively recruiting for an experienced Customer Service Manager for our new temperature-controlled food grade distribution center. The Customer Service Manager will report directly to the General Manager. As the warehouse is still under construction, we are looking for this job to begin in late April 2024.

The Customer Service Manager will be responsible for but not limited to initiating, directing, coordinating, monitoring warehousing services and supporting activities that promote the highest levels of Customer Service and Continuous Improvement in our Key Performance Areas: Safety, Quality, On-Time Performance, Productivity, Exporting, Profitability, and Team Development.

Essential Duties:

  • Be a TEAM Player, cooperatively with others to meet daily service demands.
  • Provide primary leadership oversight, accountability, and development of the Customer Service Team, including the Customer Service Account Representatives, Exporting Coordinators, and the Shipping-Receiving Coordinators.
  • Create and support a positive, team-oriented work environment and culture.
  • Effectively lead, coordinate, and improve the administrative utilization of the Warehouse Management Systems and other office computer systems, equipment, and software.
  • Oversee assigned financial management activities, including coordination of new accounts set-up, customer billing, accurate and timely billing, cost controls, and maximizing profitability.
  • Export compliance, including required paperwork, certification, labeling, and stamping. Maintaining related SOPs.
  • Monitor daily and extended customer service levels, handling customer requests and concerns in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Ensure timely shipments to all customers and prepare and implement work orders and plans as required.
  • Lead and coordinate internal/external customer communications, including team meetings, periodic business updates and account reviews.
  • Support operations as needed in the coordination, tracking, and reporting of operational metrics management to drive Cold-Link Logistics service improvements, including Key Performance Measures (KPIs), Weekly Updates and Business Review Meetings.
  • Work with Quality Department to analyze any quality concerns and implement necessary changes for improvement.
  • Comply with all GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and USDA Food regulations, food safety and housekeeping guidelines, including order and cleanliness of office work area.
  • Initiate, implement and maximize strong customer service and inventory management practices, creating, maintaining, and improving SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
  • Monitor daily and extended customer service levels, handling customer requests and concerns in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Initiate, coordinate, and monitor continuous improvement initiatives, including customer surveys, staying current on the latest industry trends and initiatives.
  • Lead the Customer Service Team to attain the highest levels of customer satisfaction, build and promote good partnerships with all customers and stakeholders.
  • Other tasks as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

  • Education: Minimum High School diploma. Bachelor's Degree, and/or successful equivalent of professional development in customer service and operations support.
  • 3+ years leadership in customer service, experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficient in office technical and communications systems, equipment, and MS Office applications. Warehouse Management Systems experience strongly preferred.
  • Effectively communicate verbally, including speaking effectively with individuals and before groups of people.
  • Effectively communicate in writing, including concepts and information required for daily business activities. Ability to read and interpret documents such as policies, operating and procedure manuals. Ability to read and write routine reports and business correspondence.
  • Effective team leadership style, including problem solving, planning and decision making.

Physical Requirements & Schedule:

  • Core working hours are Mon-Fri dayshift but in rare emergency situations must be available for team support as needed during evening hours and weekends.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record according to Company guidelines.
  • Ability to be in a multi-temperature warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from outside ambient to -20 degrees F. Cold-Link provides cold weather gear for staff members.
