Overview:
Baldor Security Managers are safety and security professionals. In partnership with and under the direction of Baldor Security Management, Security Managers are responsible for the safety and security of all Baldor personnel and facilities. Security Managers are not law enforcement agents and must adhere to all Company Standard Operating Procedures, post orders, and instructions provided by Security Management.
Responsibilities:
- Adhering to and enforcing all Baldor policies/procedures which include GMP/Safety/Food Safety/Food Defense/Visitor /Security standards.
- Investigate internal and external incidents for all facilities and provide rapid response, investigation details and reporting of all emergencies to Regional Senior Security Manager.
- Appropriate resolution of all security related investigations.
- Monitor all security systems including but not limited to visitor management, access control, camera systems and investigation platforms.
- Monitor and report any internal/external threats to company i.e. social media, Dark web, local crime alerts, emergency service, open- source intelligence) to Regional Security Manager.
- Inform the Security team of potential internal/external security risks to the organization by identifying trends or warning signals of a security threat.
- Work closely with onsite security teams.
- Conduct appropriate training for Security Supervisors and Managers to ensure the staff is equipped to respond to security threats against Baldor employees and property.
- Assist IT department by monitoring any software/malware/phishing threats to Baldor.
- Work closely with outside agencies (Police, fire departments, fraud agencies, insurance companies, attorneys) as required.
- Assist with Executive Protection Program by designing and distributing travel packages to C-Suite Executives.
Requirements:
- The ability to maintain strict confidentiality, display a sense of urgency, organizational savvy, and poise.
- Familiar with principles and practices of corporate security, employee safety, crisis management and emergency response in accordance with any applicable state and federal laws.
- Adept at analyzing and troubleshooting problems, identifying solutions and projecting consequences of proposed actions.
- Knowledge of Investigation methodology, interviewing and interrogation techniques.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. English proficiency, Spanish a plus
- Proven Leadership abilities and the ability to establish trustful relationships and commitments with coworkers across all levels of the organization.
- English proficiency, Spanish a plus.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred/ HS Diploma or equivalent.
- 8+ years’ experience in similar role physical/retail/warehouse security.
- Wicklander Zulawski Certification
- Law enforcement or Military background a plus
Technology Skills:
- Knowledge of CCTV/Access Control equipment/Visitor Management Systems
- Microsoft Excel/ Word
- Electronic mail software - Microsoft Exchange; Microsoft Outlook
- Video conferencing software – Microsoft Teams
Work Environment:
- 3-4 days a week in Facility
- Ability to work or stand in a cold environment.
- Ability to work or stand for extended hours as needed.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
