WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Continuous Improvement and Engineering Manager at ProCaps Laboratories, you'll have a multifaceted role in optimizing our manufacturing and engineering operations, all while upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance. You'll be responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of Lean and Quality, and ensuring that our operations align with Safe Quality Foods (SQF) and Workplace Safety Programs.

OTHER ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Knowledge of, understanding of, and compliance with all QODs associated with your job description
  • Actively participate in Lean, Quality, Product Safety, SQF, and Workplace Safety Programs.
  • Utilize CI/Lean tools, processes, and systems to drive efficiency and quality
  • Analyze and communicate departmental key metrics related to continuous improvements and Environmental, Health, and Safety performance
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) using Lean Principles to analyze systems and create action plans for improvement
  • Develop and implement a site transformation plan in collaboration with the site management team, ensuring it aligns with business objectives
  • Provide training, preparation, communication, and post-event follow-up for Lean initiatives
  • Apply financial drivers and KPIs to guide decision-making and process improvement
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities
  • Analyze manufacturing processes and engineering workflows to streamline operations and reduce waste
  • Lead Lean and Six Sigma initiatives to optimize productivity and quality
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and best practices for both manufacturing and engineering
  • Train and mentor team members on process improvement methodologies
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • Work closely with the engineering team to align process improvements with engineering needs

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or related field preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in plant leadership, with at least 2 years in a position responsible for driving Lean manufacturing initiatives in complex manufacturing facilities
  • Proven experience in continuous improvement within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Results-oriented with a track record of driving process improvements

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work frequently near and with mechanical parts and production lines
  • Duties are performed primarily in a smoke-free environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and reach
  • Able to lift up to 25 lbs.
