Job Summary:
The Compensation Analyst will be responsible for administering compensation policies and programs including base pay, job evaluation, and annual incentive programs. This position is responsible for building strong working relationships with HR Business Partners and management to ensure that business needs are identified and met.
Responsibilities:
Key Accountabilities:
- Perform job evaluations using market pricing and other methods for all levels of employees (executive and non-executive), analyze compensation benchmark data, and make recommendations
- Participate in salary surveys and analyze results in order to assess competitiveness of total compensation and market trends
- Create and review job descriptions to document accurate FLSA classification, title, essential functions, qualifications, and physical and environmental requirements
- Administer monthly Store Incentive Programs; ensure that pay data is accurate and processed within the assigned deadlines
- Administer the annual compensation process utilizing Workday Advanced Compensation (maintaining budget, salary increases, and annual incentive plans) and work with HRIS and Finance to administer the process
- Ensure effective and timely communication of salary increases and incentive programs, including the preparation and distribution of communication materials
- Monitor federal, state, and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure company compliance
- Prepare compensation related analyses, presentation materials, reports, etc.
- Partner with peers in Human Resources and other departments to provide appropriate guidance regarding pay decisions, policies, and guideline interpretation and job evaluation
- Build and maintain strong and effective working relationships with management, HR Business Partners, and corporate functions
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree; CCP designation preferred
- 3+ years of compensation experience
- Experience in administering base and variable compensation programs
- Experience with Workday and report writing
Skills and Behaviors:
