Alon’s Bakery & Market is an award-winning restaurant, providing high-quality baked Artesian goods and cuisine since 1992. The namesake of Executive Chef/Owner Alon Balshan, Alon’s Bakery & Market has two locations in Morningside and Dunwoody and opening Summer of 2021 in Buckhead. Alon's is known for Artesian breads, European-style cakes, handmade pastries, gourmet sandwiches, freshly prepared foods, fine cheeses, exquisite chocolates and more.
This position is perfect for someone who wants to excel in the pastry and baking industry. Alon's has a baking commissary to support the 3 locations and a retail Artesian Bread Company. We are seeking an Artesian Bread Production Manager to lead production, coach, and develop the bread baking team.
We offer a variety of different types of breads all made with a unique blend of top quality unbleached flours, with an assortment of different sourdough and yeast starters. We have high production on rye, whole wheat, and country French, as well as baguettes, and ciabatta.

Job Description:

  • Daily production for all bread items
  • Ensures bread quality through all processes
  • Coaches bread bakers throughout shift to ensure quality and standards
  • Management of a team of 15 to 20 bread bakers
  • Management of organization of kitchen, including organization and cleanliness of dried storage, walk-ins, and dairy fridge
  • Daily quality checks of products

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a commissary with a focus on bread baking with at least 2 years of having managerial responsibilities
  • A genuine passion and knowledge for Artesian Breads
  • Culinary school attendance
  • Prior experience with laminated dough, shaping, and mixing
  • Dependable and hard-working
  • Sociable and friendly to fellow team members. Demonstrate a positive and can-do attitude
  • Be meticulously clean and aware of all food safety standards
  • Be available to work on different shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
