As a Bottling Line Quality Control Technician/Line Operator, you will be instrumental in ensuring meticulous quality control throughout our clients' bottling process. Working under the direct supervision of the Bottling Line Manager, your meticulous attention to detail ensures that every bottle leaving our facility meets our clients' expectations for premium wine. Your responsibilities span from overseeing quality checks during bottling operations to meticulously managing inventory and providing comprehensive reports.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ISO standards to uphold personal and team safety, as well as the integrity of our wine and company assets.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, offering guidance and support to colleagues as needed.
  • Utilize company protocols to conduct thorough analyses of samples for various parameters including alcohol content, pH levels, titratable acidity (TA), volatile acidity (VA), malolactic fermentation (ML), sugars, sulfur dioxide (SO2), dissolved oxygen (DO), carbon dioxide (CO2), and others in both production and bottling laboratories.
  • Prepare necessary reagents and maintain inventory of laboratory chemicals.
  • Coordinate and prepare processing work for client bottlings, ensuring clear and accurate reporting pre- and post-bottling.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry.
  • Collect samples for analysis from tanks or barrels.
  • Perform calibrations and routine maintenance on laboratory instrumentation.
  • Efficiently utilize downtime for cleaning tasks or assisting colleagues.
  • Assist with early morning bottling line and filter sanitation as required.
  • Support other departments and be flexible for reassignment based on operational needs, which may include cellar or warehouse responsibilities.
  • Engage in additional tasks during off-season periods, such as barrel filling, topping, stirring, racking, sorting, sanitation, pump-overs, and punch-downs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Preference for candidates with a college background in science.
  • Deeply passionate about crafting high-quality wines.
  • Diligent, self-motivated, and maintains a positive 'can-do' attitude.
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptionally detail-oriented with a steadfast work ethic.
  • Flourishes within a small team dynamic, contributing positively to the winery environment.
  • Highly adept at managing time efficiently and safely multitasking within a demanding schedule.
  • Physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 50lbs.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license.
  • Forklift experience is preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
