Do you have 10+ years' experience providing HR Management Support in a manufacturing environment? Are you fluent in both English and Spanish?
Our client, a family-owned manufacturing company with facilities in St. Charles and West Chicago, Illinois is hiring an experienced Sr. Human Resource Manager.

The Bilingual Senior HR Manager will be part of a 7 person HR Team and be based out of the St. Charles facility, supporting 600+ employees.
The qualified candidate will have 10 or more years of well-rounded human resource experience in a manufacturing environment.

Requires EXCELLENT computer/IT knowledge since Paycor has recently been implemented and this person will be responsible for the implementation of several new modules.

A good portion of your day will be spent engaged in Employee Relations. This includes frequent trips to the production and manufacturing floor as well as providing an open door to be available when employees need to speak with you.
Will also have a great deal of interaction with the production managers and the maintenance managers related to hiring needs.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Manages Human Resources programs and initiatives. Programs include recruitment, selection and retention, employee relations / engagement, benefits, compensation, safety, and other HR related programs.
  • Assists the HR Director with implementation and maintenance of compensation and benefits programs.
  • Serves as Senior HR Manager to monitor and advise managers and supervisors in Progressive Discipline including performance improvement plans. Reviews, guides, and approves recommendations for employment terminations.
  • Supervises HR staff and is responsible for the coaching, mentoring, and development of the HR team.
  • Proactively works with HR team in the development and administration of a variety of human resource plans and procedures for company personnel, including handbooks, safety manuals, and other related policies.
  • Works with Operations Management to ensure the organization’s HR needs are being met through establishing effective relationships, coaching, and providing appropriate level of HR expertise in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Works with HRMs and HRD to meet compliance related reporting and training requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws.

Salary range of $100,000 to $120,000/yr. with bonus potential based on personal performance.

  • MUST BE BILINGUAL IN ENGLISH AND SPANISH
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience working in the Human Resources field in a manufacturing environment required, with 5-7 years working in a supervisory role a MUST.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, multi-task and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to gather important relevant information and make effective decisions.
  • Possesses a high level of personal integrity and ability to work with highly confidential information is a must.
  • Ability to take initiative, with a demonstrated passion and commitment for getting the job done right the first time, to meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the use of Microsoft Office, are required.
  • Knowledge of Paycor timekeeping highly preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving skills with an eye towards proactive solutions.
  • Ability to work a minimum of 40 hours per week.
  • Very minimal travel may be required.
