Summary

Toyoda Gosei North America (headquartered in Troy, MI) has an opening for a Human Resources Manager. The Human Resources Manager functions with a high degree of autonomy in supporting TGNA Canada and Mexico sites including, Process Implementation/Change Management, Employee Relations concerns including Ethics Hotline complaints, Performance and Compensation processes; and communicating to GM and VP on open concerns or projects.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Communicate and support on compliance concerns relevant to in-country laws/regulations
  • Collaborate with staff members on the development and implementation of cost savings measures, strategies, policies & procedures, and reporting
  • Oversee and support the development of the Change Management Strategies to support AMC’s.
  • Manage HR projects including strategy development, delegation of duties, due date control, and delivery of key initiatives as required to meet business objectives
  • Serve as a resource to executives in translating documents and spoken language (English/Japanese)
  • Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts (kaizen)
  • Support all investigations for Hotline Calls
  • Promptly support and be proactive on any employee relations concerns
  • Must document all meetings with written notes
  • Support the integration of Corporate and in-country specific for policies the CA/MX locations
  • Collaborate with AMC's in CA/MX/Brazil to help solve concerns and issues
  • Support the development of and maintenance of KPIs
  • Required to coordinate the performance and merit process between TGNA and AMCs
  • Stay current on latest developments in the regulatory and legal landscape for CA/MX/Brazil while keeping management informed. Report to management any information that has a legal or financial impact to the organization
  • Ensure that locations are following headcount/manpower requirements. Track changes in headcount
  • Support the organization chart process
  • Drive optimization by being actively engaged in continuous improvement efforts
  • Function in a highly collaborative environment where flexibility and teamwork is critical to success.
  • This role requires the completion of other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Bachelor degree required, focus in Human Resources preferred
  • Minimum of six years of experience in Human Resources is required
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suites 2007 or newer is required
  • Ability to consistently meet deadlines is required
  • International travel is required
  • Effective verbal, non-verbal, negotiation and written communication skills are required. Must be fluent (verbal and in written )in Spanish and English language
  • Ability to sustain a high degree of professionalism in interacting with internal and external customers is required
  • Effective attention to detail, problem solving, analytical and organizational skills is required
  • Exposure to the development of short and long-term strategy is preferred
  • 3+ years of automotive industry experience preferred
