Overview:
We are seeking Avionics Technicians to join our team. As an Avionics Technician, you are responsible for installations, terminations, testing and repairing avionics systems of aircraft. In this role, you will support remote avionics contracted projects and travel is required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, system schematics, drawings, engineering orders.
  • Accomplish avionics operational checks, installation of IFE/CMS, Wi-Fi, and troubleshoot.
  • Properly utilize Avionics test equipment to perform systems test as required and utilize hand tools to perform repairs and installations
  • Keep leadership and co-workers apprised of work progress and/or problems.
  • Accurately document work performed as set forth by customer maintenance programs on a daily basis using the standard format.
  • Working knowledge of EWIS principals and routing methods
  • Fabricate per drawings and standard practices wire bundles and assemblies to include marking of wires, properly securing wires into bundles, and termination of wires into a variety of contacts and connectors.
  • Ensures quality and efficiency of all installations.
  • Must adhere to all policies, procedures and Code of Conduct.
  • Complete initial and any recurring training requirements in a timely manner
  • Take immediate corrective action regarding unsafe conditions.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must have working knowledge of Avionics systems and their operation and the proven ability to troubleshoot basic problems.
  • Must read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to research proper hand-tools utilizing standard wiring practices manuals. Familiarity with FARS pertaining to avionics systems.
  • Knowledge of reading, interpreting drawings, diagrams, manuals, use of avionics test equipment and other systems
  • Three or more years of avionics technician experience
  • Ability and willingness to work extended hours when needed
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels regarding all job-related issues both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to pass background check and DOT drug screening
  • Current valid Drivers License and/or Passport
  • VIP Aircraft experience required/ Boeing or Airbus Completions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work in confined spaces for wire routing, squatting, and kneeling position with frequent bending, twisting, pulling, pushing and crawling
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in various environmental weather conditions
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stands
  • Must be able to be on feet for extended periods of time
