Position Overview:
As the Parts Director, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the parts department within our dealership group. You will lead a team of parts professionals to ensure efficient operations, exceptional customer service, and maximum profitability. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in automotive parts management, parts inventory control, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding results.
Job Description:
As an Automotive Parts Director, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the parts department. Your key duties include:
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and execute strategies to enhance the efficiency and profitability of the parts department.
- Collaborate with other department heads to ensure seamless operations.
- Maintain a high rank of Key Performance Indicators across all brands.
Inventory Management:
- Manage parts inventory levels based on projected demand and cost targets.
- Leverage inventory control systems to record and track auto part sales and warranties.
- Perpetual Inventory Development.
- Return Accruals and Dispersions.
- Monitor and cure any current or potential parts obsolescence.
Team Supervision:
- Hire, supervise, and motivate the automotive parts department employees.
- Foster teamwork and harmony within the department.
- Mentor and develop our next generation of team leaders.
- Process implementation and monitoring of best practices as related to NADA guidelines.
Financial Oversight:
- Daily tracking of sales, gross profit, warranty schedules, wholesale shipments, and service reconditioning.
- Monitor financial performance, control costs, and maximize revenue.
Customer Relations:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to encourage repeat business.
- Prioritize customer satisfaction by ensuring courteous interactions with parts personnel.
- Manufacturer liaison with our trusted OEM Partners.
Job Requirements/ Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years in automotive parts management/parts logistics.
- Strong knowledge of parts inventory management.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
- CDK/Reynolds Experience Required.
- Ability to travel daily.
- Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
