Under the supervision of the Director of Information Technology, maintains computing environment on industrial manufacturing equipment; implements systems for product and raw-material control; works with IT, Maintenance and Production employees to plan and implement control systems in the direction of automation.
Essential Job Functions
Evaluate production and logistics processes and make recommendations for improvement with aid of existing systems or new technology.
Participate in project planning and implementation of business requirements, primarily in the fields of RFID, Production Automation and Machine Integration.
Assist maintenance crew in repair of production-related computer systems.
Perform preventive maintenance on production-floor computer assets.
Write and maintain existing code base for integrations to production systems.
Skills/Experience/Training
Associate's degree or higher in Automation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology, and 1 to 3 years’ experience in production environment, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with .Net, Python, Java, C# programming languages
Experience with FactoryTalk and PLC controls
Experience with AutoCAD or similar drafting software
Fabrication experience a plus
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing a plus
Good problem-solving skills, with a focus on quality and technical zeal
