About the job Position Summary:

The Strategic Pricing Associate Manager role, located remotely, will be responsible for evolving pricing capabilities, managing, improving, and/or optimizing all related/relevant pricing data, systems, and processes.This position will be instrumental in providing analytical support related to pricing forecasting, pricing by channel and all aspects of commercial pricing and contract activities at Nutricia North America and will be key to ensuring that our pricing strategies are executed to optimize growth & defend market share.


Essential Functions:

  • Pricing Analytics

    • Accountable for pricing analysis, pricing forecasting by Channel, developing dashboard reporting and presenting to internal stakeholders to provide insights that highlight risks and opportunities to influence leadership action.
    • Conceptualize & develop models and tools that enable visibility to net pricing trends and margin optimization opportunities.
    • Provide pricing resources & recurring performance reporting to stakeholders to make data-driven decisions that align with strategic objectives.
    • Streamline and improve pricing processes.
    • Analyze current internal and competitive pricing levels to determine opportunities for increased market share and/or identify organic growth opportunities.
    • Implement pricing strategies to ensure profitability optimization and alignment with overall company strategy.
    • Assist with new product launches, offering competitive & marketplace price benchmarking, working closely with Category Marketing Directors and within MAC to secure favorable market positioning & access within the US landscape.
    • Provide support for the Sr. National Account Manager, Trade for tracking & monitoring the Distributor Chargeback process for key customer contracts.

  • Pricing Process

    • Develop and generate reports using critical systems, such as SAP, High-Radius, Trade Promotion Management (“TPx”), Power-BI and Snowflake
    • Administer cross-functional process to track pricing execution by Channel and Customer.
    • Calculate, analyze and facilitate approval of contractual, off-invoice fees, incentives and/or rebates.
    • Support discount and pricing activations, discounts/pricing by customer, contract and/or product.
    • Build and/or maintain effective pricing database(s).
    • Implement and maintain accurate and consistent pricing across all customers, contracts, products and platforms.
    • Build/Maintain effective KPIs for price-accuracy.

  • Stakeholder Engagement & Influence

    • Proactively monitor strategy performance and advise management of trends and/or necessary actions.
    • Monitor internal and competitive pricing levels to ensure market relevant price levels within portfolio.
    • Proactively identify issues and risks with pricing levels, determine solutions and drive those solutions to closure, while developing plans for mitigating future risks.
    • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities to modify and streamline processes and procedures to align with capabilities and increase efficiencies.
    • Present scenario models to internal stakeholders to influence forward actions that align with strategy

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Solid knowledge of finance, pricing, and contracting principles.
    • Experienced with data analysis and financial/statistical modeling.
    • Ability to prioritize demands and work independently on a variety of concurrent projects.
    • Ability and initiative to investigate, identify and resolve problems.
    • Ability to effectively respond to complex inquiries or requests, and successfully convey and explain system and accounting issues to non-system users.
    • Ability to comprehend, analyze, and solve complex problems in standard and non-standard situations involving several options.
    • Analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Adept at conveying concepts and findings in a presentation format.
About you
    • Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance degree or equivalent experience; MBA preferred
    • 3-5 years of Pricing analysis, or relevant financial analysis experience.
    • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office products including Excel, Power BI, Word and PowerPoint.
    • Advanced proficiency with financial models, business analytics, financial forecasting, and/or equivalent analytical experience(s)
    • Intermediate proficiency with SQL, Python or equivalent
    • Professional communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to present recommendations to various levels across stakeholder groups.
    • Solid mathematical, analytical, & problem-solving aptitude.

The base compensation range for this position is $100,000-120,000 commensurate with experience.
