The overall responsibilities of this position will include assisting in the development and implementation of procurement strategies, negotiating contracts with suppliers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all activity related to the procurement of non-capital fleet, consumables, and indirect products and materials, including but not limited to, establishing, and maintaining vendor relationships, managing company approved products, catalogs, and related pricing, maintaining account authorizations, all while ensuring we are buying cost effectively and placing orders and uploading invoices in a timely manner.
  • Manage the vendor (including credit card-based vendors) account reconciliation process to ensure purchasing orders (POs) are issued and received and invoices are matched to the appropriate PO.
  • Administer and maintain the purchasing module within Acumatica. (e.g., maintain user access, update product catalogs and pricing, configure purchase approval levels, etc.).
  • Develop, analyze, and distribute procurement reports and assist in month end close procedures by partnering with accounting.
  • Ensure the purchasing parameters in the system are maintained accurately, for example lead times, MOQs and price break, where applicable.
  • Acts as a first point of escalation to resolve issues to ensure a high service level to internal/external customers.
  • Helps to effectively implement supplier strategies and initiatives.
  • Obtains quotes from vendors to support customer RFQ’s and bid proposals.
  • Participate and cooperate in every investigation, fostering a collaborative environment to contribute valuable insights and expertise towards comprehensive and successful case resolutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or a minimum of 2 years of experience in indirect Sourcing/Procurement
  • Valid US driver’s license (or equivalent) and meet Motor Vehicle Record verification requirements.
  • Indirect category purchasing experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous purchasing experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish effective and collaborative working relationships built on trust.
  • Ability to consistently perform in a fast-paced environment with high volume of work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
