Your Skills

Provide leadership, strategic direction, guidance and oversight to the US businesses in the area of compensation, with a strong emphasis on variable and broad-based compensation design and implementation, with the goal of providing the organization the technical expertise and direction to ensure competitive pay, recognition and incentive programs. In addition, oversee the relocation and mobility programs associated with domestic moves and international assignments.


1) Manage the strategic directions and policies with regards to broad-based and recognition compensation programs, including integrating a number of pay programs/approaches and ensuring the appropriate level of competitiveness to support the talent attraction and retention strategies.

2) Lead the design, implementation and administration of the various field and headquarter incentive programs including the evaluation of objectives and metrics that drive the behaviors that will result in the desired business outcomes.

3) Oversee the design of and the communication strategy for the recognition programs across the entire population (union and non-union) including vendor administration, budget management, compliance reporting and management and all related communications.

4) Oversee the centralized compensation–related activities, including salary structures, job evaluations, management of the annual merit cycle, including budget management, calibration analyses and all related communication initiatives associated with these programs.

5) Manage and report on the analytics associated with the overall compensation programs with regards to internal requirements and participate with external sources/resources in order to ensure access to current competitive data.

6) Serve as one of the key consultants to the businesses and internal HR business partners in all aspects of compensation matters including job evaluations, incentive plans, pay proposals, regional pay analysis, integration of pay practices, etc.

7) Oversee all aspects of the domestic relocation and international mobility programs and partner internally/externally with evaluating, assessing and expatriate assignments as well as, relocation activities/requirements and budgets.


Your Experience

Basic:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 6 – 8 years designing, managing and analyzing broad-based compensation programs including approaches to base pay, recognition programs, job evaluations, deferred compensation plans, etc.
  • Minimum 6 – 8 years designing, implementing, managing and analyzing complex variable pay programs.
  • Minimum 2 years managing a relocation/mobility program - preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred:

  • Master’s degree.
  • CCP designation.
  • Experience in a multi-national organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including strong presentation skills.
  • Strong detail orientation and project management skills including demonstrated success leading process improvement and cost savings/management initiatives.
  • Confidence to deliver difficult messages, defend decisions and make judgment calls.
  • Strong vendor management skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and market data analysis experience.
