Job Description
The Assistant Vice President of Finance & Director of Procurement holds a pivotal role within the university, tasked with overseeing the strategic direction and efficient management of procurement and surplus property functions. This includes the acquisition of goods, services, insurance, information technology and construction contracts, alongside fostering supplier diversity and managing surplus property disposal. The role serves as a key member of the Vice President's leadership team and acts as a representative of the division to various stakeholders, including the university community, state government, business entities, and professional organizations. Additionally, the Assistant VP plays a crucial role in coordinating procurement activities during emergencies and leads cooperative efforts to enhance procurement efficiency and supplier diversity on a national and statewide level.
