ASP.NET Software Engineer
Duties: Develop information technology-enabled business solutions that are both scalable and reliable. Execute all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, and Deployment. Develop software by analyzing business requirements, conferring with management and users, analyzing systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas, and following the software development lifecycle. Determine and communicate project feasibility and sizing estimates through analysis, problem definition, requirement gathering, and solution development. Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code. Prepare solutions by determining and designing system specifications, applying robust architectural patterns, applying coding standards, and programming. Lead and facilitate design reviews and code reviews; improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures; and lead and facilitate pre-production risk assessments and reviews. Assist with code build and deployment processes and mentor development team members to help them succeed in their assignments. Support and develop Zelis and the technology team by providing advice, coaching, and educational opportunities. Follow established HIPAA, Compliance, and Security policies.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar analytical discipline. Two years’ experience analyzing business problems and translating business requirements into technology solutions that consider system performance, usability, quality, cross-system interdependencies and scalability. Two years’ experience with (1) Azure-based Microsoft ASP.NET CORE MVC patterns, Microsoft SQL Server, APIs and Microservices to build web portals; (2) Production Troubleshooting and Performance tools including SQL Profiler, Postman and Fiddler; and (3) algorithms and optimization. In the alternative, M.S. in Computer Science or similar analytical discipline and completion of courses covering (1) Azure-based Microsoft ASP.NET CORE MVC patterns, Microsoft SQL Server, APIs and Microservices to build web portals; (2) Production Troubleshooting and Performance tools including SQL Profiler, Postman and Fiddler; and (3) algorithms and optimization. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. Fully remote available. Must live within 100 miles of Zelis office in St. Petersburg, FL.
