Job Overview:

The Crew Lead is the person responsible to oversee the efficient production output of the assigned crew. The position is filled with someone who is clearly in charge, who sets the pace of work, and who provides the example of what a motivated employee is willing and able to do to accomplish work objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties (included but not limited to)

· Confers with the Production Planner to establish and give out daily job assignments to the crew

· Understands and enforces work being performed in priority order

· Ensures that workers are properly accounting for manhours by proper sign-in and sign-out procedures

· Monitors the amount of time being expended to complete individual jobs and ensures adherence to established labor hour standards

· Maintains discipline of workforce on all levels – controls tardiness, absences, clean work areas and personal appearances, etc. Efficient at all levels of personnel management

· Controls the use of all special tools and shop equipment – ensures that the crew is using the equipment properly and stores it back where it belongs.

· Performs end-of-day checklist as assigned by Shop Supervisor that covers the security of both Company and Customer equipment - external doors locked, shop equipment properly stored, lights and AC’s turned off, etc.

· Coordinates the next day’s work with production planning to ensure adherence to planned priorities.

· Ensure compliance with FAA and company standards.

· Keep work area clean and safe.

· Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of engines.

· Comply with all environmental, health, and safety regulations.

· Operate support equipment that is used in removal and installations of major engine components.

· Use, maintain, and store company-provided tools and equipment in a safe and proper manner.

Essential Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

· Proficient and demonstrated skill with the engine.

· Assignments require standard knowledge of technical area.

· Assists advanced level technicians on more complex technical assignments.

· Skilled with repairing, troubleshooting, installing, and equipment maintenance.

· Knowledge of FAA requirements for aircraft maintenance procedures.

· Ability to interpret and comprehend manufacturer and FAA approved work package instructions; -- ability to inspect and install parts/components.

· Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing in Standard English.

· Computer literate – Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years of age

· High School Diploma or equivalent

· Able to pass drug test/background check – we are a drug free work place!

· Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds – engines and parts can be extremely heavy and will take a lot of strength to move or manipulate

· Able to work in a fast-paced environment

· Able to work independently when required

· Bending at the waist, sitting, kneeling, laying horizontally, climbing ladders and/or work stands, walking, etc., as job may require

· Must be able to work flexible hours, weekends, and overtime
