We are seeking an independent and self-motivated Aircraft Technician III to support our crew and ensure the safety of our aircraft. As part of the Maintenance team, this person will be responsible for routine aircraft maintenance for SC Aviation and customers’ aircraft. We have availability on 1st and 2nd shift and this position is based in Janesville, WI. What You’ll Do
In addition to performing routine maintenance, you will be doing basic troubleshooting and repairs to ensure minimum schedule impact on all SC Aviation’s managed aircraft without compromising safety or quality. You’ll work on our fleet that includes Hawker 800XPs, Challenger 300, Falcon 2000s, and Falcon 900s. You’ll also be responsible for:
  • Demonstrating technical expertise
  • Independently performing scheduled inspections
  • Ensuring that all aircraft are safe for flight before scheduled flights begin departure
  • Performing required operational checks as required for SCA operations
  • Procuring parts from external vendors
  • Providing daily maintenance work, aircraft status, and time records
  • Communicating with flight crews regarding aircraft status, in the absence of a shift supervisor/Lead Mechanic
  • Training Junior Aircraft Mechanics as needed

Qualifications

We need an experienced Aircraft Mechanic who’s comfortable working both single-handedly and in a team environment on aircraft. In addition to a high attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to effectively work with minimal supervision, we are looking for:
  • FAA A&P Mechanics License
  • 2+ years’ aviation maintenance experience
  • A solid knowledge and demonstrated experience maintaining aircraft for continued safe operations
  • Strong mechanical aptitude for inspecting equipment, identifying issues, and performing minor repairs
  • A proven record of effectively communicating with supervisors, line service, parts, pilots, and dispatch
  • A working knowledge and use of MS Office and Windows applications, especially Excel for communicating and reporting
  • Experience with Hawker or Falcon aircraft is highly preferred
