Typical Job Roles and Responsibilities:
- Understand use and wear required PPE within assigned production work area/position.
- Ability to read and follow aircraft blueprint drawings and process specifications
- Familiar with and ability to accurately use basic structure’s hand tools including drills, countersinks, rivet guns, torque wrenches, scales, and micrometers
- Ability to accurately perform layout of fastener locations by following blueprint and drawing requirements
- Ability to accurately install solid rivets, blind rivets, and various types of threaded fasteners using required tooling
- Ability to perform drilling operations accurately including fastener removal and reaming of fastener holes to correct size
- Operates required tooling, machinery, and equipment in a proficient manner following established safety rules.
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Degree, Certification and Experience Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of aviation structures experience preferred
- A&P and/or other related license highly desired and may be required in certain positions.
Required Skill and Knowledge:
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Knowledge of Teamcenter and SAP an added benefit
- Be able to read and interpret blueprints
- Flexibility to various schedules and overtime
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Must have good prioritizing skills and strong team skills
- Familiarity of basic function of all aircraft systems
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift, push, pull, or move objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all types of weather.
- Ability to stand for a 10-hour shift, and routinely climb stairs / ladders.
- Ability to work for extended periods in a tight space and/or awkward position.
- Comprehend and adhere to management directions and/or safety instructions with no restrictions.
