Role Summary/Purpose:

Perform maintenance and repair or overhaul on aviation components in accordance with approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements. FAA Covered position

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Performs repair processes for engine components undergoing repair/overhaul following established guidelines and supervisory guidance
  • Inspect and measure aircraft component dimensions utilizing standard tools to include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Disassemble, assemble, install parts for inspection
  • Operates power tools and equipment necessary to perform associated tasks
  • Work with engineering to identify failure modes and perform root cause analysis
  • Follow all housekeeping and safety rules


Required Competencies:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Mechanical ability (use of power tools, hand tools, specialty equipment)
  • Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language to interpret and follow written procedures, complete documentation, and follow verbal instructions
  • Basic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skills
  • Must pass drug/alcohol screening
  • Must meet the following near vision requirements: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16” (42 cm) ± 1” (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involved
