Summary
The Aircraft Mechanic non-A&P position is a multi-faceted role with a primary focus on providing safe aircraft to our Flight Instructors and our students. The non-A&P position will not be allowed to sign off on work performed, and will need to be review by the DOM or a Certified A&P Mechanic. We are seeking an individual who is enthusiastic about working in aviation. Essential Functions
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections of fleet aircraft, Cessna 172S and Piper PA44-180 alongside with a Certified A&P Mechanic
- Offer timely support and customer service to flight instructors and students
- Contribute to upkeep of hangar appearance and cleanliness
- Maintain various ground support equipment
Knowledge / Skills:
- Attention to detail, neatness, cleanliness, and focus on organization
- Interpersonal skills and comfortable with communicating
- Time management and self-motivation
- Experienced in tactical, hands-on practices of repairing, maintaining, servicing, building, etc.
- Familiar with a broad variety of tools and equipment
- Proficient in basic computer use including Microsoft Word and general web-based applications.
Education and Work Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associates required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 2 years of customer service experience preferred
- Employee isn’t permitted to sign off on work, must be signed off from a valid A&P certificate holder
- Intents to progress towards A&P Certificate sign-off
