Purpose
The Aircraft Maintenance Planner reviews customer requirements, constructs bid estimates and develops workflow plans and production schedules in coordination with Operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Plan and schedule maintenance work packages based on the availability of labor, tooling, materials and equipment to ensure minimum aircraft down time and a balanced workload.
- Plan and originate requisitions for materials required for scheduled maintenance.
- Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure timely arrival and location of parts required to accomplish maintenance.
- Make changes to the scheduled workflow in response to deferred maintenance items and repair/correction of items which affect the airworthiness or operational availability of aircraft.
- Plan maintenance workloads and prepare work packages for Operations and assist in making decisions regarding requests for changes by setting priorities for planned maintenance.
- Review the work plan with the respective project managers/supervisors/leadsand maintain communications on the assigned planned maintenance.
- Support the Director of Sales Support and Programs with other business activities as needed.
- To always lead by example, through professional behavior, integrity, commitment to the company and compliance with its policies.
- Ensure the highest quality service, safety standards and performance, with the objective of exceeding customer satisfaction in the re-delivery of airworthy, reliable, and clean aircraft, in a timely manner.

Qualifications
REQUIRED
Candidates must have experience in Aircraft Maintenance Planning or Maintenance Programs at a Part 145 Repair Station, Part 1221/135 Airline, or Aircraft Equipment Manufacturer OEM.
DESIRED
Holds a valid mechanic certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
- Undergraduate degree.
- Maintenance planning experience on current fleet types being maintained or modified by the Repair Station.
- Maintenance planning experience in a VVIP aircraft completions environment.

- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Working Conditions
The work is performed in an office environment, aircraft hangar, at the departure gate or on the aircraft parking ramp.
