Join our Aeronautics Field Sustainment Team in Fort Worth, Texas to provide post-delivery modification (mod and retrofit) leadership within the Modification, Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) Value Stream Team (VST). The successful candidate will serve as a leader within the Aeronautics Field Sustainment (AFS) MUO team and oversee the global AFS Contractor Field Team (CFT) operations for multiple platforms that may include F-35, F-16, F-22 and C-130.

Responsibilities include performing and/or overseeing the following tasks:
  • Leading Contractor Field Teams (CFT) executing modifications at U.S. and International locations
  • Compliance with customer and company procedures relative to the MUO VST
  • Responsible for contractual and operational performance to include safety, cost, schedule and technical performance of CFT operations. Assesses performance issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
  • Responsible for hiring and management of all CFT personnel. Coordinates talent management strategies with HR, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning and Training.
  • Participates in contract negotiations and changes.
  • Coordinates the preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements and specifications, operating budgets and financial terms/conditions of contract
  • F-35, IFG and AMMM post-delivery modification support planning/integration and execution of the mod packages
  • Support of Change Requests and change management correspondence
  • Support proposal estimates
  • Support of MUO initiatives associated with Low Rate Initial Production (LRIP), and Full Rate Production (FRP) contracts
  • Engineering Liaison / Integration for Execution operations
  • Primary leadership liaison with stakeholders for all post-delivery Time Compliance Technical Directive/Order (TCTD/TCTO) modifications. TCTD Kit-Proofing, Verification, and Validation integration and support and TCTO prototype execution. Provides complete sight picture to site leadership for MUO operations
  • Customer / Team Partner Post Delivery Modification integration and support
  • Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS) integration and support relative to the MUO CFT teams
  • Responsible for leading the integration of LM/AFS activities into field site operations to include the identification, coordination and care of customer deliverables (facilities, base access, GFE...) and adherence to local customer policies and procedures to include, official agreements (CFT Plans / Memorandum of Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding MOA/MOU).
  • Responsible for site specific LM/AFS performance regarding contractual performance and operational performance to include safety, quality and customer/other agency compliance. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction goals and objectives.
  • Must possess at minimum an Interim Secret Security Clearance prior to starting. Must be able to obtain a Final Secret Clearance and be a United States citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:
The following Basic Qualifications are skills that a candidate must possess to be considered for this position:
  • The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a thorough understanding of and experience with leading aircraft post-delivery modification, overhaul, and upgrade, in-service repair, and inspection efforts.
  • The position also requires staff leadership experience directing, coaching and developing Maintenance, Upgrade and Overhaul (MUO) team members.
  • The successful candidate will possess experience interpreting and executing policies and procedures that affect aircraft maintenance and modification activities as related to US services and partner countries.
  • He/she must possess sound leadership skills with extensive background in planning aircraft maintenance / modification actions.
  • Experienced in process development and continuous improvement, will have excellent communication skills, and be able to operate autonomously with minimal direction from senior management.
  • Project management experience with strong organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in MS Office applications is required, as well as experience managing the production of weekly status reports, metrics, incorporation documents, and schedules.

  • Experience utilizing System Engineering processes and procedures.
  • Ability to apply retrofit background and knowledge to optimize new systems and tools within Global Sustainment.
  • Experience managing retrofit activities and proven management/scheduling skills.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
