POSITION: Aircraft Engine Wash Technician
SCHEDULE: Part-time
LOCATION: West Carrollton, Ohio

DESCRIPTION:
If you enjoy travelling, working with customers, and have a flexible schedule, this position is for you.
The wash technician will travel and work at our customer locations as part of a two-man team to perform on-wing aircraft engine washes.
The wash technician will be responsible for supporting all aspects of Aero Jet Wash engine washes including but not limited to, driving vehicles to commercial airfields and military bases in various locations across the United States. Overnight travel and washes vary from month to month. We are seeking candidates with a flexible schedule who will be available to work different days and hours from week to week, including overnights and occasionally on weekends. 80% of all engine washes will require an overnight stay.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties shall include but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform on-wing aircraft engine washes in accordance with approved engine wash cards.
  • Ensure equipment is properly secured to the aircraft engine and ensure the process runs smoothly throughout the engine wash process.
  • Troubleshoot issues throughout the engine wash process.
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and signed by the customer.
  • When on-site, wash technicians represent the company. Wash Technicians will dress appropriately and present a professional attitude.
  • Communicate with customer crewmembers to facilitate a smooth engine wash process. Hand signals, radio, cell phone and talking will be forms of communication that could be utilized before, during and after the engine wash process.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous aviation experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of how to work on small engines and machinery preferred
  • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from the shop
Must be able to complete these requirements with or without accommodation:
  • Must be able to bend, squat and climb 6-ft ladders.
  • Must be able to stand/sit for long period of time. Long distance travel by vehicle is required anywhere from one to 14 hours one-way. Engine washes can take approximately three hours for a (4) engine aircraft with multiple aircraft generally required for each job.
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions and elevated noise levels.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must be able to move up and down a ladder carrying up to 15 lbs as well as being able to lift 15 lbs overhead.
  • Must be able to communicate with both Aero Jet Wash staff and with clients.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must possess excellent organizational and computer skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old and a high school graduate or equivalent
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. A Real ID is a requirement to get on many Air Force Base
  • Ability to easily adapt to change and new technology
  • Must be goal-oriented, have exceptional attention to detail, and work well independently and with a team.
  • Must be able to pass a ten-year Background/Criminal/OMV/Drug Screen
