PRIMARY JOB DELIVERABLES:
- Perform visual and dimensional inspection using hand and automated inspection tools
- Complete accept/reject decisions and input inspection data in MRP system
- Coordinate and maintain calibrated tools using the Gagetracker software system
- Complete PPAP and first article inspections as required by customer
- Perform additional tasks including product audits, internal audits, and other tasks assigned by the Quality Manager
General Responsibilities:
- Perform all inspections as required by the job router
- Must have a great attention to detail, able to complete tasks under time constraints
- Coordination and communication with Production on priorities and day-to-day issues
- Must be dependable and persistent in completing tasks
- Support additional tasks including audits, inspections, and projects as assigned
Education and Experience Required:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience performing inspection of mechanical products
- Ability to interpret and utilize engineering drawings and industry specifications
- Knowledge of and experience with hand and automated inspection equipment
- Computer literate and able to process inspection data in a timely manner
- Basic math skills and problem solving ability required, SPC experience is desirable
- Experience in implementing corrective action for problems, root cause analysis and 5Y reviews
- Personal attributes including good work ethic and attendance, solid communication skills and organization, attention to detail, committed and dependable
- One year or more quality experience working in an aerospace, military or related mechanical product facility preferred
- High School education required, will consider individuals with significant positive experience with quality initiatives without degree
