Employment Information
The Account Manager I is responsible for the agency's relationship with existing commercial accounts including providing service, securing renewal orders, identifying additional needs, and adding coverages as necessary to meet those needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Develops a working relationship with assigned commercial accounts.
  • Identifies changing coverage needs through annual customer coverage reviews and implements necessary policy changes.
  • Communicates with company underwriters so that renewal policies reflect most current and accurate information.
  • Recognizes and addresses coverage and price issues with assigned accounts.
  • Maintains policy expiration list to insure timely renewal and delivery of policies.
  • Sells other insurance and bank products in a professional manner.
  • Completes required training associated with job function.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a professional business environment.
Experience:
  • Prior experience in the property – casualty insurance industry, preferably with an agency or as a producer is required
Skills:
  • High level of analytical skills and extensive knowledge of insurance underwriting.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills including high computer literacy.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to work in a multi-task environment.
  • Illinois Insurance Producers License for all lines and a valid Driver’s license.
  • May be required to work earlier or later than the normal workday.
