Job Summary: The Account Manager is responsible for operating as the primary point of contact for all matters
specific to your assigned clients or potential clients with a goal of building and maintaining strong, long-lasting
customer relationships. In addition, the Account Manager will oversee customer account management, including
negotiating and managing landscape maintenance contracts and enhancement sales and resolution of any issues.
This position will report to the Branch Manager and is a full-time on-site position. This position will work under
the direct supervision of the Branch Manager
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain customer satisfaction by anticipating concerns and communicating proactively
- Regularly visit properties to identify and address quality control issues.
- Identify and present value-added opportunities to improve the client experience with Focal Pointe through cost-savings, time-savings, or other potential efficiencies beyond the contract
• Consistently design and communicate landscape improvement opportunities with clients to achieve enhancement sales goal. • Collaborate with Operations Manager to ensure crews have the necessary tools to succeed, recognize their value, and deliver on Focal Pointe’s quality promise
• Facilitate budget meetings with clients to assist them with Landcare operating and capital project budgets • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable and clients to result in timely payments
- Attend client networking events to further strengthen relationships within the community
- Participate in snow removal as a Crew Member or Route Manager
- Travel up to 30% of the time within the Focal Pointe territory
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- A minimum of 3 to 5 years of progressively responsible experience in commercial account management, property management, or guest services
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines simultaneously
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to solve a variety of problems independently
- Accommodating, friendly, authentic disposition, prone to build long lasting relationships
- Skill in preparing written landscape design, written reports, verbal presentations, and interpersonal communications
- Able to learn the critical functions of our cloud-based, industry specific software to include maintenance and enhancement sales
- Valid Driver’s License with approved driving record
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
