Account Manager

Job Summary:

At The 20 client relationships are our top priority. We’re looking for a dedicated and personable account manager to maintain client accounts and serve as our main point of contact. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others and a drive for providing exceptional customer service. Essential Functions:

  • Serve as the main point of contact in all matters related to client concerns and needs
  • Client Retention – Build long-term relationships with key clients and secure contract renewals
  • Create plans to address clients’ business needs
  • Ensure client satisfaction through after-sales care, as well as receiving/using feedback
  • Create TBRs (Technical Business Reviews) and present to client on a quarterly basis
  • Give presentations to clients about products and/or services
  • Act as a point of contact for complaints and initiate escalations as appropriate
  • Ensure that the terms of a contract are adhered to by both the company and the client
  • Understand and help meet clients’ goals
  • Assist in upselling and cross-selling services and products
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., sales, engineers, senior management) to address clients’ needs

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Internship or professional experience in a sales or customer service role
  • Ability to multitask and juggle several responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction
  • Fast turnaround on client requests
  • Business awareness: specific knowledge of the client and how IT relates to their business strategy and goals
  • Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities
  • Understand processes in CRM by completing assigned training materials
  • Work through a daily schedule in CRM
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and receiving positive customer feedback
  • Proficiency with common customer success and customer relationship management software, such as Gainsight and Salesforce
  • Two years of prior sales experience

  • Consistently required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and see
  • Routine use of hands to type

  • Consistent vision abilities required; close vision, depth perception, and ability to focus
  • May require travel dependent on company needs
  • Occasional need to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
