The Role:
We are looking for an exceptional Account Executive to join the Storefront team. This individual will develop relationships with prospects and guide them to becoming customers of Cart.com.

As the focal point of driving new sales you will manage inbound leads as well as manage your own outbound process for targeted accounts to fill your pipeline. In this role you will be a subject matter expert in the deeper inner workings of ecommerce, our solutions and most importantly storefront design, build and implementations and guide customers through multiple outdated systems while understanding the prospect’s pain points and desired future state and where Cart.com properly fits.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive revenue growth by acquiring new clients and expanding the customer base.
  • Lead the sales process from start to finish, including product positioning, presentations, demonstrations, and closing deals.
  • Develop and nurture a portfolio of clients through proactive outbound prospecting and managing inbound leads.
  • Tailor sales approaches to address individual client needs and develop compelling sales strategies and proposals.
  • Facilitate smooth transitions of sold projects to custom development, design, and implementation teams, collaborating closely with project managers.
  • Consistently achieve or surpass sales targets and performance objectives.
  • Maintain a well-organized pipeline and activity log, regularly updating notes and progress.
  • Foster effective communication across teams and management to enhance client satisfaction, increase conversion rates, and drive continuous improvements in the sales process.

Who You Are:
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: A high level communicator in both written and verbal communication, with exceptional skills in building and maintaining customer relationships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in internet, email, and electronic document management. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, and internet technologies such as shopping carts, web hosting, and online marketing tools is advantageous.
  • Blend of Technical and Business Acumen: Possess a deep understanding of software and the ecommerce industry, coupled with strong business and sales acumen.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Dedicated to prioritizing customer needs and consistently adhering to ethical business practices.
  • Detail-Oriented: Capable of managing sensitive client information and handling multiple details with precision and ease.
  • Results-Driven Closer: Proven track record of closing deals with a focus on quality and achieving business performance objectives.
  • Creative Problem Solver: Proficient in identifying and creatively resolving complex problems to ensure successful sales outcomes.

What You’ve Done:
  • 5+ years’ professional experience in an end to end sales role.
  • 3+ years’ experience in technology or SaaS sales within a fast-paced, high-volume environment, with a focus on consultative solutions.
  • 2+ year’s experience within e-commerce
  • Proven success navigating complex sales processes involving various stakeholders, including executive management and technical teams. Consistently achieving quotas and objectives in an outbound, client acquisition-driven business environment.
  • Proven success with accurate forecasting in which you provided consistent and accurate sales forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Successful experience with effective sales techniques focused on initiating conversations with prospects, overcoming objections, and maintaining resilience in the face of rejection.
  • Proven results of meeting or exceeding quotas in prior roles.
  • Excellent computer skills with MS Office and Google Suite.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience selling e-commerce technology for a complex storefront platform implementation or migrations.
  • Experience working across several teams.
  • Familiarity with software such as Salesforce, Hubspot and Atlassian products (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Formal Education, courses completed or certifications in technology or a field related to duties above
