Job Summary:
1st Green Colorado is an award-winning landscape design/construction firm seeking a skilled and experienced Nursery Manager to oversee the operations of our nursery. The Nursery Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of the nursery, including plant identification and care, inventory management, ability to operate construction equipment and strong customer service skills. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership skills and a passion for horticulture.

Responsibilities:
- Manage all day to day nursery operations
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of plants, including watering, fertilizing, pruning, and pest control
- Oversee inventory management, including tracking of plant stock
- Action oriented and ability to succeed in a fast paced environment working along side our crews to provide guidance and assistance in loading materials
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
- Monitor plant health and identify any issues or diseases that may arise
- Collaborate with landscape designers and sales team to fulfill customer orders and meet production goals
- Coordinate with the team and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain a clean and organized nursery environment

Skills:
- Strong knowledge of garden and farm practices, including planting, pruning and harvesting
- Experience in data collection and basic math skills for inventory management
- Familiarity with greenhouse operations and irrigation systems
- Capable of heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) and working in various weather conditions
- Familiarity with farm or garden equipment and hand tools commonly used in nursery work
- Experience in operating excavators, bobcats and other construction machinery
- Knowledge of common plant identification and ability to properly layout according to scale
- Basic math skills for inventory management

- Experienced landscaper with a strong background in construction

- Excellent time management and leadership skills

Job Type: Seasonal

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
