Position Summary
The Workday HRIS Analyst will offer functional and technical support for the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). They will serve as a key resource and expert on Workday system functionality in areas such as Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits. This role will help enhance existing systems and implement continuous process improvements. Additionally, this analyst will consult with HR Partners and business stakeholders to identify data and reporting requirements and provide effective solutions to those needs while delivering top-notch customer service. The Workday HRIS Analyst will report to the Vice President of Human Resources.

Core Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the HR team to understand their needs and compile reports.
  • Ensure that employee workflows within the system are functioning as expected.
  • Solicit feedback and identify overall needs of HRIS end users.
  • Responsible for helping develop skills and abilities of employees and functional end users.
  • Document processes, identify HR concerns, compile data; act as the go-to resource for HRIS-related matters.
  • Collect, organize, analyze, and interpret data from HRIS System.
  • Full cycle testing for projects, large scale issue resolution and annual releases: Assist functional team with testing and document issues; Problem solving and ability to translate requirements of end user to IT; Create and update test plans when needed. (Annual Releases, system enhancements, large scale projects for process optimization) Identifying issues and resolution; Regression testing.
  • Manage and maintain the HRIS technology system and the data that supports the function of an organization.
  • Troubleshoot integration issues and work with leadership and functional area(s) if changes or testing is needed.
  • Create and maintain job aid and knowledge base articles for all core functional areas.
  • Initial contact for issue resolution for workday support tickets: Assign or escalate to System Admins when needed.
  • Maintain documentation and take meeting notes for all projects and implementations: Update integrations as needed; Perform open enrollment testing in Workday as employee, benefits partner; Validate all updates are made correctly and process is working as expected.
  • Backup for Functional Team to process HRIS transactions, including: Job/Position Creation, New Hire/Term/Job Changes, Benefits, Payroll/Time tracking
  • Build out reports and create a job aid of helpful reports for various functional team to utilize.
  • Update documents for internal business units when needed within Workday.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications/Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience using Workday HCM or similar HRIS applications.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel (advanced functions including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc. are preferred).
  • Advanced knowledge and understanding of HR processes, procedures, and policies to translate business requirements into the system.
  • Experience with full cycle testing for projects, large scale issue resolution and annual releases.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once.
  • Detail oriented with keen analytical skills for data analysis and data quality.
  • Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Strong project management and process management skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline (preferred)
