Summary:

Serves as a member of the MHP Administrative team and assists with leading direction and strategic planning to achieve the organization's mission, directives, and goals. This position is responsible for the overall administration of assigned ancillary and support departments. The position also ensures the formulation and completion of departmental goals and objectives that are consistent with the overall institutional mission and vision and the Memorial Experience.

Responsibilities:

Ensures assigned ancillary and support MHP departments are efficiently and economically managed to provide high-quality healthcare services as measured by customer satisfaction levels, outcome measures, and accrediting regulatory agencies. Develops meaningful written departmental objectives and policies and achieves such objectives within the established timeframe. Departments operate in an interdisciplinary team fashion to provide patient-focused care.Participates in the development and implementation of the Hospitals plan for providing ancillary and support services to all patient populations served. Participates in Safety, Quality and Service initiatives. Assists in assuring that MHPs plan is consistent with Hospital District goals and objectives, mission and vision. Ensures mechanism to initiate appropriate organizational change and measure effectiveness of changes as related to Hospital District goals and objectives.Ensures hospital-wide and specifically department compliance with Joint Commission, Federal, State and local accrediting and regulatory agency standards. Demonstrates the ability to develop and maintain budgets or departments within 2-3% of projections and adjusted for volume or approved uncontrollable variances.Collaborates with administrative leadership to determine organizational priorities and goals. Researches and monitors industrial, professional and national developments. Integrates data from multiple sources to support decision making.Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide business processes, support the delivery of services, and ensure a culture of quality , safety, satisfaction and family centered care.Leads departmental financial planning to ensure cost-efficient operations and to maximize profitability.Monitors and evaluates operations to ensure compliance with established professional, regulatory, and organizational standards/requirements.Participates in, and at times, leads system-wide task forces focused on clinical practice issues and solutions.
