Job Responsibilities:
SS8 Networks, Inc. is looking for an experienced contract Technical Documentation Writer working in the United States. The ideal candidate should have technical acumen, project management experience, demonstrably strong communication and writing skills, and be able to effectively interact with software developers and project leads.
Location: Remote
Minimum Duration of Contract: 6 months. Hours of contract: 20-40 hours per week depending on the scope of the project.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a technical field such as computer science or a focus on English, writing, or communications.
- Over 5 years of professional work experience in technical documentation.
- Experience making complex ideas understandable.
- Experience in creating documentation for audiences with different levels of technical skill.
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Excellent work ethic and strong intellectual curiosity.
- Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task.
- Desire and ability to innovate and improve upon current processes.
- Track record of effective collaboration.
- Ability to thrive, without much oversight, in a constantly changing environment. Adapt rapidly to a changing industry and be able to adjust responsibilities, time, and objectives accordingly.
- Experience working with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
- Experience creating infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, workflows, graphs, etc.
- A proactive and open-minded attitude to resolving problems and delivering results.
- Prior experience working within IT Development, SaaS or web-based technology environment.
- Experience working with MadCap Flare and Central.
