General Summary: Our company is looking for a Supply Chain/Procurement Manager

who is responsible for analyzing our current buying systems and creating the best methods for day-to-day corporate purchasing operations. The position will be responsible for overseeing our purchasing department, establishing buying goals based on corporate inventory needs, and sales projections.

Essential Functions:

  • Guarantee compliance with supply chain and review purchase orders for compliance with corporate policy.
  • Develop primary and secondary vendors for all products.
  • Maintain accurate purchase order prices and vendor
  • cataloging.
  • Manage the supply chain and logistics team to ensure that objectives are met.
  • Guarantee training on processes and tools for supply chain teams and updated related documentation.
  • Works with individual product line groups in optimizing the reduction of excess and obsolete materials.
  • Contribute to the overall performance of the site in terms of customer satisfaction as well as financial results.
  • Provides global perspective of manufacturing and material status to the organization.
  • Works with other departments on new product release activity to ensure smooth transition of new products from development to production.
  • Manages New Product Request process to ensure timely completion of customer requests.
  • Prepare spreadsheets to show the impact of any price notices, i.e., percent of the increase, quantity typically purchased, etc.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study preferred.

Experience: Minimum 5+ years of similar experience.

  • Can identify and resolve problems in a timely manner and gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Skilled negotiator.
  • Can manage difficult clients and respond promptly to their needs and solicit their feedback to improve service.
  • Ability to develop and maintain various supply chains and strategies.
  • Consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.

Supervision Received: Minimal daily supervision receives goals and basic procedures for

project assignments. Must handle prioritization with a variety of competing activities. Performs tasks independently with periodic supervisory review/audit. Seeks guidance to ensure complete and appropriate action.

Working Conditions: General office environment with minimal physical effort. Good working conditions requiring normal safety precautions. Frequent use of personal computer.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
