REPORTING TO: Supply Chain Manager

SHIFT(s): 8 Hours Mon- Fri → 8 am – 5pm or 7 am – 4 p.m.

WHO WE ARE: **Formed in 2004 as a food contract manufacturing and packaging business, serving some of the world’s most sophisticated food and nutrition companies. We specialize in dry powder blending to nourish communities with high quality products such as pancake mix, cake mix, and drink sticks. We have over 300 dedicated employees working safely in a manufacturing environment with over ten production lines.

JOB SUMMARY: You will be the lead on planning, scheduling, and purchasing for your assigned customers. Conduct weekly calls with customers to review their product demands, forecast, and PPG’s production output. Order and track materials to produce the customers’ products to meet the agreed schedule. Take ownership of inventory control, production sequencing, demand planning, and forecasting capacity/shifts.

  • Maintain a positive working relationship with assigned customers and own the planning, scheduling, and purchasing to meet their needs.
  • Order and track the delivery of raw ingredients to support the production schedule for just in time delivery and fulfillment of orders.
  • Create and maintain a 13-week production forecast.
  • Cultivate great communication with customers, operations, and warehouse teams on schedules, inventory, and production.
  • Support and suggest continuous improvement projects on planning, materials management, and inventory practices.
  • Own the inventory for assigned customers through data and partnering with inventory team to conduct physical cycle counts and slow moving/obsolescence analysis.
  • Track and report KPIs to customers as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Great communication with all levels of the organization, customers, and suppliers.
  • Detail oriented to maintain data accuracy and stay organized.
  • Influence and partner with all internal departments to solve problems, design standard operating procedures and meet the customers’ demands.
  • Be data driven, track and report on supply planning and inventory timely.
  • Act like an owner, to own the relationship with the customer, partnering with all departments to get the job done right the first time.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years’ experience in materials purchasing or planning management or manufacturing environments.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and proficient in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Fishbowl warehouse management software (WMS) experience preferred.
  • Red Zone experience preferred.
