Amazon’s Intelligent Cloud Hosting (ICON) Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Technical) to join our team in Seattle, WA or Sunnyvale, CA to envision, design, and deploy our next generation infrastructure management control plane that will manage the infrastructure that powers Amazon’s websites including all of our global marketplaces and partner portals, and other consumer experiences like Kindle, Alexa, Amazon Video, Mobile Application, and Physical Stores.

The product will make infrastructure operations more reliable, improve security, reduce costs, increase availability for Amazon's Stores infrastructure.

Key job responsibilities
  • Envision and draft the business requirements for a new set of Services (APIs) that will build resilient automation that will help our globally distributed support team to manage our vast Stores hosting infrastructure at scale.
  • Ensure that the engineers and technical leaders are aligning the product design to maximize customer value throughout the SDLC through creative tradeoffs.
  • Be a vocal advocate for optimal resource allocation to ensure maximum progress within the constraints of the business.
  • Provide insights and direction to peers and leadership managing dependent products and adjacent programs to ensure quick and effective progress.
  • Be a bar raising writer to highlight blockers, wins and misses, and craft product launch announcements and other documentation, when necessary.
  • Connect with customers of all shapes and sizes, and understand their pain points to help steer the product in the right direction that meets their needs.

We are a diverse and international team made up of Software developers, System Development Engineers, and Technical Program Managers operating out of Seattle, Sunnyvale, New York, Dublin, Bangalore, and Hyderabad.

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • Understanding the architecture of cloud-based Services and their components, API design, and System engineering concepts.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
