Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Database Administrator to join our team. As a Senior DBA, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our databases, ensuring their performance, availability, and security. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance and troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain database systems to meet the needs of the organization
- Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization
- Monitor database systems to ensure high availability and reliability
- Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Collaborate with development teams to design efficient database schemas and queries
- Implement security measures to protect sensitive data
- Create and maintain documentation related to database systems
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in database administration

Experience:
- Proven experience as a Senior Database Administrator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems
- Proficiency in performance tuning and optimization techniques
- Experience with server administration and maintenance
- Expertise in PL/SQL programming language
- Familiarity with vaticinate or similar monitoring tools
- Experience with MySQL or other relational databases
- Knowledge of high availability solutions for databases
- Proficiency in shell scripting for automation tasks
- Solid understanding of database concepts and architecture, including normalization, indexing, and query optimization
- Experience with SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) is a plus
