Manager, Supply Chain
Scope:
Responsible for development and leadership of activities related to all supply chain functions for the Syracuse Aerospace and Defense manufacturing operation. Responsible for the design and implementation of Business Unit supply chain strategy including planning, procurement, supplier management, logistics, and inventory management for SYR operation, suppliers and customers. Responsible to evaluate all business processes impacting SCM and lead improvement efforts. Leads and participates on cross-functional teams to influence design for manufacturability on new programs and future cost reduction efforts.
Extended scope and opportunity for multi-plant and corporate Supply Chain support role is a potential for candidate with prerequisite skills, abilities, and proven performance experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive supply chain strategy addressing key sourcing and outsourcing factors including technology and cost roadmaps.
  • Regularly review strategy with management and suppliers
  • Lead strategic sourcing and supplier selection and qualification process. Includes structuring requirements and generation of RFQ’s for existing and perspective suppliers for evaluation; review of proposals; cost value analysis of suppliers; products and/or services; and communication of comparative results to the organization.
  • Manage all procurement activities across the complete product life cycle from product conception and development through end of life.
  • Develop and manage flexible strategies and material liability agreements with suppliers to support customer delivery requirements.
  • Drive productivity improvements through standardization, automation and e-procurement solutions.
  • Create and maintain a performance based supplier certification process that motivates suppliers to continuously improve.
  • Develop and manage standard supplier performance metrics and ongoing evaluation process utilizing a global standard scorecard and quarterly business reviews.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Planning to support activities from forecasting and master planning through material and production scheduling.
  • Drive best in class practices throughout the organization.
  • Lead global inventory management initiatives to meet customer requirements and corporate goals.
  • Establish technology roadmap for the acquisition, storage and retrieval of information related to the worldwide procurement process. Initiate and direct preparation of budgets and resource requirements based on production plans and new product development.
  • Manage duty and trade programs and associated compliance programs.
  • Monitor the integrity of the material costs in the management information system including regular review of the costing of the current work in process, semi-manufactured and finished goods inventory.
  • Develop, document and communicate timely written position descriptions, performance standards and measurement of performance results for all assigned personnel in consultation with Human Resources.

Education and Experience:
Education: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Business or Logistics, MBA a plus
Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sourcing/procurement management in a complex supply chain environment. Demonstrated progressive people management skills required. Strong knowledge and experience of business processes required, including lean manufacturing

Compensation and Benefits:
TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.
Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:
$90,873 - $159,811
Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
