Sr. Human Resources Generalist Job Overview:

Senior HR Generalist provides generalist expertise, advice, and counsel in areas of Human Resources including compensation, benefits, employee relations, employment law, health and safety, workers’ compensation, organizational development, performance management, training, and recruiting. This position supports a family of companies.

You’ll be a great fit if:

  • You can provide senior level support in functional areas of Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, training and special projects
  • You can support Senior HR Manager on core program rollout of compensation and performance management programs (merit planning, succession planning, etc.)
  • You are able to work closely with the Senior HR Manager as needed on strategic HR initiatives that may include Performance Management, Work force Planning, Employee Learning and Development, Diversity, Compliance, Recruitment, Exit and/or Compensation-related action items
  • You can customize and deliver specific HR initiatives such as coaching managers on performance management, employee development, succession management, leads HR projects for the family of companies
  • You are able to process all STD, LTD, FMLA, ADA, and Workers Compensation claims
  • You can oversee/assist in the day-to-day delivery of Human Resources projects, programs, and strategies (communication, on-boarding, talent management)
  • You are able to perform a variety of professional and administrative human resources functions
  • You can act as liaison between employee and Benefits Administrators if necessary to provide consultation and problem resolution.
  • You can administer, coordinate, renew and maintain employee benefits programs. This includes open enrollment
  • You are able to develop, distribute, and maintain all required reports, paperwork, files, and documentation for employee benefits
  • You can oversee 401k enrollment and education
  • You can develop, administer, and coordinate Wellness program
  • You are able to complete EEOC reporting/AAP
  • You can complete OSHA annual reporting
  • You are able to maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting HR functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance
  • You can respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • You can conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rat
  • You can prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • You can maintain leadership team level responsibility at a member company
  • You are ok to travel to family of company locations as needed
  • You can perform other duties as needed

Requirements:

To be considered you’ll need:

  • A bachelor's degree in human resources or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a Human Resources Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills and ability to multitask
  • Strong attention to detail & computer skills
