The Sr. Database Administrator installs, monitors, and maintains the database installation of EKPC. This position ensures the database infrastructure meets the business needs of the future and plans accordingly. In addition, this position provides guidance to the System Administration team and works with IT leadership to maintain IT policies and procedures.
Education:
¿ Bachelor¿s degree in a related area required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.
¿ Oracle Certified Administrator required.
¿ Oracle Certified Professional preferred.
Experience:
¿ Seven (7) years of related experience using Oracle database required.
¿ Three (3) years of MSSQL experience required.
Skills and Abilities:
¿ Thorough knowledge of Oracle Database and Microsoft SQL Server.
¿ Proficient in RMAN and MSSQL backups.
¿ Working knowledge of Linux, KVM, and Oracle Linux Virtualization Manager (OLVM).
¿ Thorough knowledge or Oracle and Microsoft license requirements.
¿ Excellent project management skills.
¿ Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills.
¿ Provides thorough and timely communication to customers, leadership, and team.
¿ Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with staff at all levels of the organization including external contacts.
