ODNR owns and manages state parks, state forests, state nature preserves and wildlife areas. We license all hunting, fishing and watercraft; oversee and permit all mineral extraction, monitor dam safety, manage water resources and serve as the second largest Law Enforcement presence in the State of Ohio.

We are accepting applications for a Sourcing Supervisor within the Division of Parks & Watercraft. Please see below for possible locations. What you will do…

  • Supervise sourcing staff who prepare solicitations, review bids, and recommend suppliers;
  • Review all purchasing requests for compliance with State purchasing policy and procedure;
  • Provide direction and guidance to staff and suppliers regarding procurement policy and procedures;
  • Determine statewide procurement needs;
  • Develop cost effective, strategic plans to maintain a reliable supply of goods and services;
  • Coordinate and monitor MBE and EDGE program planning;
  • Work with DAS to develop contracts for goods and services that are procured on a routine basis;
  • Review spending patterns, analyze procurement costs and suggest methods to decrease expenditures and implement efficient sourcing strategies;
  • Prepare, review and recommend Controlling Board, Release and Permit and waiver requests;
  • Starting hourly pay of $35.74/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $51.03/hr.

UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS: May require travel; may be required to work long or unusual hours during peak operational periods.

Qualifications


54 mos. exp. or 54 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing to include exp. in performing spend analysis, developing sourcing strategy & evaluating vendor performance.

  • Or completion of undergraduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
  • Or completion of graduate core in public or business administration, purchasing, materials management, contracting, acquisition management or logistics, supply chain management, operations management or other sourcing related field; 18 mos. exp. or 18 mos. trg. in purchasing/procurement/sourcing.
  • Or 24 mos. exp. as Senior Sourcing Analyst, 64513.
  • Or 12 mos. exp. as Sourcing Planner, 64514.
  • Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above.
