Software Engineer II – Portal
Job Summary:
The Software Engineer II is responsible for supporting a critical system here at NCS that supports several critical business capabilities. This role will play a pivotal role in implementing end to end solutions across a broad technical stack including AWS, GCP and will collaborate with various stakeholders to deliver effective IT solutions across this platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software platform according to specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features.
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards.
- Conduct thorough testing of software to ensure reliability, stability, and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and debug issues reported by customers or internal teams.
- Participate in code reviews to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in software development.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.
- Assist in documentation and knowledge sharing activities.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to their professional growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of experience in software development
- Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum, & Jira).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Mango) is a plus.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
