Position Overview:

As a Simulator Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimizing our state-of-the-art racing simulators, ensuring an immersive and seamless experience for our guests. Specific Job Responsibilities:

• Simulator Maintenance:
  • Perform regular inspections, maintenance, and repairs on racing simulators to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose technical issues promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and implement preventative measures.
• Software and Hardware Updates:
  • Install and update simulation software to the latest versions.
  • Upgrade hardware components as needed to enhance simulator performance.
  • Collaborate with software developers and engineers to address compatibility issues and implement improvements.
  • POS, AV, phones, laptops, printer, and KDS hardware assistance.
• Guest Support:
  • Assist guests in understanding simulator operations and provide technical support when necessary.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience by promptly addressing any technical concerns or inquiries.
  • Conduct briefings for guests on simulator usage and safety.
• Quality Assurance:
  • Conduct regular quality checks to guarantee the accuracy and realism of racing simulations.
  • Collaborate with the management team to implement improvements based on guest feedback.
• Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other technicians, as well as external vendors and developers, to stay informed about the latest advancements in simulator technology.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects, technical challenges, and potential improvements.
• Health and Safety:
  • Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure environment for both team members and guests.
  • Conduct routine safety checks on simulators and report any issues to the appropriate channels.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Proven experience in maintaining and troubleshooting electronic and mechanical systems.
• Familiarity with racing simulators or gaming technology is highly desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
• Basic knowledge of software installation and updates.
• Available to work various shift times and days, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to stand and/ or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift over 50+ lbs. if necessary.
• Authorized to legally work in the US.

Bonus skills:

• Maintaining and troubleshooting Windows 10 issue
• Remote Desktop knowledge
• rFactor 2 and racing similar hardware experience.
• Familiarity with JIRA Service Desk, Datto, Spiceworks, Notion, and Teams
