Senior Technical Writer Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled, seasoned Senior Technical Writer (10+ years) to join our dynamic Technical Publications team as we evolve our content and processes to match the exciting growth of our proven products and our next-generation cloud-native security platform.
The ideal candidate has a solid grounding in technical documentation processes, an innate curiosity that fuels your ability to learn and investigate, and the ability to work efficiently with distributed teams of product managers, developers, scrum masters, and support agents.
This role requires a proactive individual who can chase down and verify detailed product information, learn products quickly, and deliver high-quality documentation that enhances customer experience — from best practices guides to detailed technical references. You should also be an optimizer who speaks up and suggests solutions when you encounter processes that can be improved.
This role will report directly to our Technical Publications Manager.
What You’ll Do:
  • Work closely with developers, product managers, customer support, and other stakeholders.
  • Chase down detailed product information and learn/test products quickly.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of documentation team’s processes and standards, and lead by example.

What You’ll Need:
  • A decade of technical writing experience, with a strong background in IT or security sector documentation, and familiarity with key concepts such as Active Directory, SCIM, OIDC, SAML, RDP, SSH, and more.
  • Deep experience in MadCap Flare and Git-based version control systems, coupled with Agile methodology experience and the ability to self-manage your workload.
  • A commitment to continuous learning, with the ability to adapt to new product features and anticipate documentation updates, while adhering to industry standards like the Microsoft style guide.
  • Proven project management skills for documentation, from start to finish, with the capacity to grasp complex technical concepts and translate them into accessible content.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, both in-person and remote, so you can work collaboratively with teammates while contributing advice and support.
  • A meticulous approach to writing, editing, and maintaining error-free documentation.
  • Enthusiasm for leveraging AI/LLMs to refine writing processes and improve existing content.
  • Please be prepared to share writing samples. (URL's or PDF )
We’d Love to See:
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, English, Computer Science, or a related field
