Responsibilities

As a senior landscape designer, you will be responsible for coaching a creative team that designs and supports the construction of natural and attractive outdoor spaces. As a result, you will make a material impact on the community we share.

  • Coach and mentor junior designer to execute our proprietary design and sales methods
  • Assist in resolving complex customer inquiries and provide creative solutions
  • Estimate complex construction projects
  • Work under our proprietary sales excellence system
  • Design and estimate high-end, sustainable residential outdoor spaces
  • Deliver design presentations to customers
  • Communicate plans and support production goals with design assistants and construction managers
  • Work in a creative CAD design planning environment
  • Continuously improve process and services to improve customer and employee satisfaction

Qualifications

  • Work portfolio with 5+ years of experience in a landscaping design position
  • Demonstrated ability for coaching, mentoring and developing junior staff
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customers’ vision, earn customer's trust and craft an attractive solution for their landscape project
  • Experience of independently managing landscape design and construction projects
  • Proficient in landscape CAD design (Land FX a plus)
  • Strong working knowledge of the principles and elements of design – commitment to continued growth and education
  • Able to balance creativity and accuracy in a fast-paced, high-productivity environment
  • Knowledge of local horticulture sources, suppliers, landscape materials and plant availability
  • Display awareness of core facets of landscape construction such as hardscape, irrigation, and planting
  • Adept at interpreting and designing across a broad range of styles and individual tastes
  • Display awareness of the many facets of landscape construction, including, but not limited to - hardscape, grading, construction code, lighting and irrigation, and planting
  • Have a valid Washington driver's license and good driving record
