Interstate is seeking a strategic Senior Director - Logistics to join our Logistics team in a pivotal operations management role. The Senior Director should have a deep understanding of supply chain logistics operations and strong established relationships with origin, destination, and transportation service providers throughout the US. Within the logistics business unit, this role will be responsible for supporting the oversight of day-to-day business operations, optimizing processes, driving efficiency, and meeting business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, transportation, logistics, economics, or a related degree plus at least 10 years of hands-on experience in transportation, logistics, warehousing, or a related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in operational management, leadership and strategy, supplier and vendor management, administration and finance, and revenue growth and retention.
  • Prior moving and storage industry is preferred but not required. Experience with a 3rd party logistics company, last mile delivery business, or white glove delivery business is required.
  • Must have proven leadership skills and a strategic mindset. You will be responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the division's personnel and activities.
  • Ability to work calmly under pressure with a positive and solutions-based attitude. Must have a strong executive presence.
