What you can expect

As a Senior Detection Engineer, you will design, develop and maintain threat detection content for Zoom’s corporate and production environments. You will train and mentor junior team members, build various security automations, and facilitate onboarding of security event logs.

About the Team

The mission of the Detection and Analytics Engineering (DAE) team is to develop and improve threat defense capabilities to protect Zoom from internal and external cyber attacks. As a part of Zoom’s Detection and Response (D&R) organization, DAE collaborates with teams such as Security Monitoring and Logging, Threat Intel, SOC, Incident Response and Offensive Security.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity

• Demonstrate proficiency in creating threat detection content (e.g. Splunk).

• Possess a deep understanding of threats and attacks targeting the cloud environment and familiarity with endpoint and network level analysis

• Experience with scripting/programming (e.g. Python, Bash, Java, Scala, etc.)

• Have knowledge of APT groups and their commonly used Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs) and MITRE ATT&CK framework

• Experience with statistical analysis and machine learning methodologies is a plus

In addition to the base salary and/or OTE listed Zoom has a Total Direct Compensation philosophy that takes into consideration; base salary, bonus and equity value.

Note: Starting pay will be based on a number of factors and commensurate with qualifications & experience.

We also have a location based compensation structure; there may be a different range for candidates in this and other locations.
