CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Upon selection, the applicants:

• Must pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening
• Must Pass Security Clearance
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance
• Must be able to obtain Fingerprint Card
• Must be a US Citizen to Apply for the position and living in the United States

Responsibilities:

• Provide 2nd level engineering support for the Federal NOTAM System (FNS) systems
• Support system development/testing/integration/deployment activities for FNS systems
• Provision, install, configure, monitor and maintain various database systems.
• Perform ongoing database performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
• Develop and manage Linux shell scripts to support application software testing and administration
• Able to debug database issues in Linux and Windows environments
• Attend system design reviews; technical interchange meetings; any other meetings as requested to support program and team • Participate in system test and key site test activities as a tester

Requiements:

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing, managing, troubleshooting, maintaining, PostgreSQL databases
• Proficient in navigating Windows and Unix/Linux Operating Systems
• Familiarity with database management best practices
• Knowledge of database design and theories
• Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity of NAS Technical Operations
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch or NOSQL Database
• Deep understanding of database optimization best practices

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $101,100.00 - $111,100.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
